How to set up and use Onelogin Protect as your two-factor method for AIS Onelogin account
This article applies only to AIS Employee and Student accounts. Parents don't use Onelogin.
How it works
OneLogin Protect mobile app delivers a one-time password through push notifications, which makes the authentication process simple and easy.
1. Log in to your OneLogin account.
2. The login screen notifies you that it's waiting for a one-time password.
3. OneLogin sends a notification to your phone. Tap the notification, select Accept, and OneLogin automatically logs you in.
4. If you did not get the notification on your phone, you can still accept your login attempt if you open Onelogin Protect Mobile App.
Open the Onelogin Protect app on your phone and tap Accept.
Click resend push notification button on your computer if you don't see the Accept/Deny screen in the mobile app.
Set up OneLogin Protect from the login prompt.
If you are currently not using two-factor authentication with your Onelogin, the system might prompt you to set it up at your login.
To set Onelogin Protect as your two-factor method,
1. On your mobile device, launch the App Store, search for OneLogin Protect, install and launch it.
2. On a separate device, log in to OneLogin at https://aischool.onelogin.com/portal/
3. A prompt appears. Click Begin Setup.
4. Select OneLogin Protect Mobile App, then click Activate
5. A QR code appears.
6. On your phone, open Onelogin Protect and tap the plus button in the upper-right corner. Don't forget to allow Onelogin Protect app access to the camera on your device.
7. Scan the QR code from your computer screen by pointing your phone with Onelogin Protect mobile app camera to the QR code on your computer screen.
If successful, you will see the green checkmark on your phone screen.
Your Onelogin Protect is set up.
Set up OneLogin Protect from the school portal's profile page.
If you are already using the two-factor method but changed your phone or would want to set up Onelogin Protect, but System did not prompt you, you can set up Onelogin Protect from the school portal's page.
To set Onelogin Protect as your two-factor method from Portal page,
1. From your computer, go to https://aischool.onelogin.com/portal/
On the upper-right corner of the page, click on your name, then in a drop-down menu, click Profile
2. Your Onelogin profile page will open. On the left corner of the page, click Security Factors
3. Security Factors page will open. If you previously had Onelogin Protect set up, please remove it by clicking 3 dots next to it and then click Remove. If you did not have Onelogin Protect set up before, go to step 4.
4. Click Add Factor
5. Select security factor pop-up will open. Select Onelogin Protect
6. Then, grab your phone. You will need to download Onelogin Protect mobile app, then click Activate button on this webpage.
7. To download Onelogin Protect mobile app, go the App Store on your phone, search for the Onelogin protect and download it.
8. After you downloaded Onelogin Protect, open it on your phone.
Tap + button on the upper-left corner of the app to add your account
Onelogin Protect mobile app will open a camera to scan QR code. Don't forget to allow Onelogin Protect app access to the camera on your device.
9. On your computer, click Activate on the Onelogin webpage

10. Grab your phone and scan this QR code by pointing your phone with Onelogin Protect mobile app camera to the QR code on your computer screen:
If successful, you will see the green checkmark on your phone screen.
11. On your computer, make sure to set up Onelogin Protect as the primary authentication method. To do that, next to it click on 3 dots and then click Set up as the primary.
Your Onelogin Protect is set up.
